H2160 57 mm Carbo T2 Ratchamatic Block
The patent-pending T2 Ratchamatic is Harken's newest member of the T2 family. The absence of metal shackles or rivets, fiber-reinforced composite cheeks and the minimal number of moving parts, make the 57 mm Carbo T2 Ratchamatic block extremely lightweight yet robust. The eight bevels of the hardcoat-anodized aluminum sheave produce a holding force of up to 10:1, and the cordage stop through the block center directs forces directly to the sheave. This relieves the load on the stringers, increasing the load capacity of the block. It can be tied, lashed or spliced to almost anything. Pressure on the line engages the ratchet, in a seamless transition from freewheel to ratchet. Unloaded sheets run easily, gennaker sheets release immediately when gybed. A Spectra line with polyester sheathing is included.
