The West System 105 resin is an epoxy resin, which is the base material of the West System family. All kinds of formulas and mixtures are built on this base material.
Resin 105 has a relatively high flash point and is free of solvent vapors. Processing is therefore safer than with polyester.
The West System 206 hardener is a slow hardener.
This is generally used when longer pot times are required, for example with larger workpieces or at higher ambient temperatures. In conjunction with the resin 105 ensteht so a high-strength, rigid, moisture-resistant solid, which is excellent as a coating or adhesive.
